Account Deletion Policy
1. Requesting Account Deletion
Digital Banking users can request deletion of their account profile and associated data at any time. To delete your Digital Banking account profile, contact us in one of the following ways:
- Call 800.786.0945 to speak with a member of our Digital Services team.
- Log into Digital Banking and contact us through the Message Center
- Open the app and go to Settings → Delete Account
- Contact us at SunSupport@sunfcu.org with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” For your security, do not include your account number.
We will verify your identity before processing the deletion request to protect your data.
2. Data Deleted Upon Account Deletion
When your account profile is deleted, we permanently remove or anonymize:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- User-generated content (posts, uploads, messages, etc.)
- In-app preferences and activity data
- Linked authentication tokens
Some data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or security reasons (e.g., transaction records or fraud prevention logs). Any retained data will be stored securely and deleted when no longer needed.
3. Third-Party Services
If you signed in using a third-party provider (e.g., Google Sign-In or Facebook), deleting your app account profile will not automatically delete your third-party account. You must manage those accounts separately through their respective services
4. Timeline
Digital Banking account profile deletion requests are processed within 5 days.
5. Reactivation
Once deleted, your account cannot be restored. You may create a new Digital Banking account profile at any time by registering again at SunFederalCU.org or through the mobile app.
